All the sudden Chris was coming out the back door and hears shots.
He sees the perp shooting at Rita and not even thinking he fires 2
shots and both land in the chest. Not even going to check on the
person he runs to where Rita is and pulls her in his arms. Before he
can stop himself he says. Sammy. Are you okay? I love you.. Oh I
love you so much. He gently kisses her and holds her to him. (68)
